Sanjana Rachel Jose

Sanjana earned her undergraduate degree in law (LL.B.) from MG University, India, before earning her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from UC Berkeley School of Law in 2024. She practiced criminal defense in India for more than four years, appearing before trial and appellate courts and handling a wide range of criminal matters, including bail proceedings, murder trials, and appeals. Following her LL.M., she gained experience in immigration law and federal litigation in the United States, handling matters before the U.S. District Courts across several states, the federal Circuit Courts of Appeals, and immigration courts.

Her experience practicing across two legal systems has given her a strong understanding of different legal and procedural frameworks, which she brings to her work on workers’ compensation matters.

Outside of the law, Sanjana has a lifelong passion for dance and has trained and performed professionally. She also enjoys reading fiction and thrillers, listening to podcasts, and discovering new movies and television shows.
