Attorney and President
Anthony G. Ratto has dedicated himself to representing injured clients in workers’ compensation and personal injury cases in both jury and bench trials. He is the founder and the principal of Ratto Law Firm, P.C., which has become one of the most successful workers’ compensation law firms in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. This accomplishment results directly from the skill and dedication the firm’s attorneys have demonstrated in protecting their client’s interests.

Brian A. Kreft
Managing Attorney of Concord Branch Office
Mr. Kreft represents injured individuals in workers’ compensation claims. He began his career by representing plaintiffs in personal injury and real property law. He then shifted his focus to the workers’ compensation field, specializing in representing insurance carriers, self-insured corporations and public entities in all issues before the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board.

Brett Gowen
Managing Attorney of Sacramento Branch Office
Brett Gowen was born and raised in the central valley of California. He attended U.C. Davis and earned an undergraduate degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics. Mr. Gowen graduated with distinction from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento.

With 51 years of experience, I have represented employers and carriers in workers’ compensation claims for the State of California, as well as cities, counties, and school districts. I serve as an expert witness in workers’ compensation insurance and self-insurance matters, and have acted as a WC arbitrator, mediator, private WC judge, and Pro Tem Judge.

Hazel Mendoza is a Workers’ Compensation Attorney dedicated to advocating for injured workers with compassion and skill. She earned her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she was a Dean’s Scholarship Recipient, Public Interest Scholar, and CALI Award honoree.

Francisco E. Moreno
Associate Attorney
Mr. Moreno was raised in the Bay Area and had the opportunity to study the law at UC Davis. Also, at Davis he was able to represent low income clients at the Immigration Law Clinic. At the Ratto Law Firm we take pride in protecting our clients rights to treatment and fairness.

Michael R. Lamb
Associate Attorney
Mr. Lamb represents injured persons in workers’ compensation matters. He began his career defending cases for insurance companies, third party administrators, and HR departments, but is now using that experience to advocate on behalf of injured parties. He has appeared at the Workers’ Compensation Boards throughout the state of California. He has presented before the San Francisco Industrial Claims Association and has trained out of state adjusters on how to handle workers’ compensation claims.

Alexander J. Ratto
Associate Attorney
Alexander (Alec) Ratto was born and raised in the Northern Bay Area. Mr. Ratto attended Santa Clara University earning his Bachelor degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Biology in 2015. He spent the next year working at a Workers’ Compensation defense firm before attending University of San Francisco School of Law. While attending Law school Alec spent time working at several Personal Injury firms, ultimately graduating in 2019.

Hearing Representative
Mr. Martin has litigated Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability cases throughout Northern California as a Hearing Officer/Representative over the last 30 years. Mr. Martin began his career in his family’s law firm from 1994 until it closed in August 2023, and contemporaneously worked for several firms throughout those years as follows: Law Office of Timothy D. Timmons, Furtado, Jaspovice & Simons, LLC, The Russo Law Firm, and the Law Office of Vincent J. Scotto.
